PUBLICATION ETHICS STATEMENT

Linguanusa is a peer-reviewed scientific periodical journal where other scientists (peer-reviewed) evaluate incoming article manuscripts based on the value and credibility of the article before publication. The linguanusa journal publishes scientific papers in the social studies of Humanities and Language from various aspects and perspectives and predetermined themes.

Linguanusa aims to be a forum for conveying ideas through research results in the social humanities and language fields. In addition, the linguanusa journal can also be the primary reference in the same field. The Linguanusa Journal is committed to maintaining high ethical standards in scientific publications including peer-reviews, authors, journal editors, and publishers. This statement is based on the standards of the COPE Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

The ethical publication code statement is based on LIPI Regulation Number 5 of 2014 concerning the Ethics of the Scientific Publication Code, which upholds three moral values ​​in publication, namely: (i) neutrality, clear from conflicts of interest in the processing of publications; (ii) fairness, giving rights to authors to claim their papers; and (iii) Honesty, clear of duplication, fabrication, forgery, and plagiarism (DF2P) in publications.

Writing and Publication

All submitted articles are subject to a rigorous peer-review process by at least two reviewers who are experts in the paper's particular field. The review process uses a blind peer review. The assessment aspects considered in the study are theme relevance, originality, methodology, result significance, readability, and language. Possible decisions include acceptance, acceptance with revision, or rejection. If the author is encouraged to revise and resubmit a submission, there is no guarantee that the revised proposal will be accepted. Rejected articles will not be reviewed. Acceptance of papers is limited by legal requirements that will apply regarding defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. No research may be included in more than one publication.

Editor's responsibility

The editor has complete responsibility and authority to reject/accept articles and is responsible for the overall content and quality of the publication. Editors should always consider the needs of authors and readers when seeking to improve publications. Editors must guarantee the quality of papers and the integrity of academic records. Editors should base their decisions solely on the form's importance, originality, clarity, and relevance to the publication's scope. Editors may only reverse or overturn a previous editor's decision with serious reason. The editor must maintain the confidentiality of the reviewer. Editors must ensure that all published research materials comply with internationally accepted ethical guidelines. Editors must act if they suspect infringement, whether a paper is published or unpublished, and make all reasonable efforts to seek a resolution to the matter still. Editors must not reject articles on suspicion; they must have evidence of wrongdoing. Editors must not allow conflicts of interest between staff, authors, reviewers and board members.

Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers must keep all information regarding the paper confidential and treat it as privileged. Reviews should be done objectively, without personal criticism from the author. Reviewers must express their views clearly with supporting arguments following existing article review rules. Reviewers should identify relevant published work that the author has not cited. The reviewer recommends that the Chief Editor note any substantial similarities or overlaps between the manuscript under consideration and other published papers of which he has personal knowledge. Reviewers may not review manuscripts with a conflict of interest due to competition, collaboration, or other relationships or connections with the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the paper.

The responsibility of the author

Authors must certify that their manuscript is their original work. Authors must certify that the manuscript has not previously been published elsewhere. Authors must certify that the current manuscript is not being considered for publication elsewhere. Authors must participate in the peer review process. The author is required to retract or correct errors. All authors in the paper must contribute significantly to the research. The authors must state that all data in this paper is authentic and original. Authors must notify the Editor if there is a conflict of interest. Authors must identify all sources used in the production of their manuscripts. Authors must report any errors they find in published papers to the Editor.
